OCTOBER 2015 NEWSLETTER

Dear Yogis,

“Anything worth shouting about is worth shouting into the wind. Because if enough people care, often enough, the word spreads, the standards change, the wind dies down. If enough people care, the culture changes.  It is easy to persuade ourselves that the right time to make change happen is when it´s time . But that is never true . The right time to make it happen is before its time. This is what "making" means. The most devastating thing we can learn about our power is how much of it we have. How much change we could make if we would only speak up first, not last. How much influence we can have if we're willing to look someone in the eye and say, "yes" or, "this is our problem, too" or, "this must stop" Yes, there's wind, there's always been wind. But that doesn't mean we shouldn't stop shouting. “

A poem to begin our October newsletter, it is a bit longer than our usual quotes but I feel for the time that we are living right now so fitting.  Throughout the summer months and well into September we are witnessing so many tragedies taking place here in Europe and also in the Middle East. At the same time, there has been an overwhelming cry for humanity, not only from citizens but even politicians.  The pope speaks of the environment, humanity and taking responsibility.  Many countries including the US are now committing to action on a global scale for the environment. We must take action ourselves but also never forget the good things that are being done everyday.

September was a month full of goodness here at Earth Yoga.  We managed to raise 900 euros through your generosity at our donation practice - all the money went straight to ground forces helping refugees on the border of Hungary.

We enjoyed a weekend workshop by Aman Singh, a wonderful 3 day Yoga & Meditation seminar hosted by Dr Marcus Klische and our wonderful Earth Yoga Teacher Katja and we are just coming to the end of our very first 50 hour Yin Teacher Training taught by Markus Henning Giess.

For the month of October we have some great workshops and events coming up......

Our Kundalini Teacher Jeanne Lurie will host an early morning Sadhana for the age of aquarius on Saturday 10th October beginning at 6am until 8.30am. This is a donation based practice that is open to all - no experience required. Punctuality is not required either! so you can come whenever you can during those times.  A Sadhana is a discipline that moves us toward cosmic consciousness and self realization.  To practice Sadhana means to get up at dawn, meditate, chant mantras, perform asanas, call on your spirit and regulate your breath and join together in group consciousness to help each other and to help the world and the new golden age of consciousness.

On the same day we have pleasure in welcoming back Christian Klix to Earth Yoga, he will be hosting a Handstand & Armbalancing workshop from 10am until 12.30pm.  The cost for the workshop will be 35€

Christian will be teaching a few of sandras regular vinyasa classes whilst he is here on the Island. We will teach on Friday 9th at 10am and also on Monday 12th at 10am

We are getting closer to our 200 Hour Tantra Flow Teacher Training with Jeanne Heileman which will begin on Monday 26 October. There are still a few spaces left so if you are interested in taking your practice to the next level please do get in touch with us.

We have one change to the regular schedule this month.....

Frank had been given a wonderful opportunity to teach yoga on the other side of the world for the month of October so Rebecca will be covering his Thursday evening classes in Santa Catalina and also his Saturday morning classes in Portals. We have decided to cancel his 7pm Sunday evenings classes while he is away.   For our most up to date schedule please visit our website www.earthyoga.es

And finally we are very happy to welcome back Mirjam Wagner to Earth Yoga. She will be offering a weekend of Yin Yoga & Meridians at the beginning of November (6th - 8th). To sign up for one or all three of her workshops please get in touch at reception or contact us info@earthyoga.es

We send you much love and look forward to seeing you at Earth Yoga very soon.
